Cults and Governments: Make Money and Prevent Freedom

scam Cults and Governments: Make Money and Prevent FreedomThis  may be best discussed as a complete theoretical concept – figuring that the people who read this will find it intuitively, all buried in some stretched mathematics. They’ll skip down to the best part – and others who aren’t ready won’t see it at all, but just think I’m over the edge… Which I am, after all.

And this essay is also kept overlong on purpose – just to show the point that most people won’t actually use the data. The vast bulk of Internet users live on instant gratification and won’t bother. Those who are willing to suspend disbelief and do the hard work of research to follow their heart – those are the ones who have that very tiny chance of making it.

It’s not any government who is going to help you find your freedom. Nor any particular belief-system. Just you…

Natural Distribution, the Bell Curve, and Life

This is a natural distribution which you see in nearly everything around you. It tends to pull order from chaos if you can line up the data with the right comparative. (Told you this would get thick real quick…)

Now, any of these distributions has the 20/80 Pareto Principle in it, which then breaks down again around 2-4% on each extreme edge (20% of 20%).

The problem with philosophy and enlightenment is actually their continually reducing results, as these 2% limits continue to interact all the way along. These chain-react all the way up the line. Naturally.

Consider this natural distribution as showing how each level toward attainment works – only a very small handful in every “level” will actually achieve what they are seeking.

Levels of Enlightenment based on natural distribution

What is easily observable is that only a handful of people actually are successful in life. Earl Nightingale laid this out in his Strangest Secret – only 5% in that study were actually able to make a success out of life. Everyone else wound up either just “scratching by” or on the Welfare dole. Of course, these statistics were out of the 1050’s, but these have been examined later and found to be the same percentages.

Between 2-5% actually make a successful life.  (.02 chance)

Now, taking this on up, you’ll then see that the really, extremely and outrageously successful people are just 2% (or so ) of those. The very rich are just about 1 in 10,000 – or close to 2% of 2%. (.0004 chance)

scam Cults and Governments: Make Money and Prevent FreedomOn up from that are the very, very successful, or the uber-rich. These are about 1 in 100,000 or so.  (.000008 chance)

And if you want to wind up on the richest person on the planet list, you are going to have to apply another 2% to that – about 1 in 10 million. (Giving you a .00000016 chance.)

This is what drives scams along. I was just talking with a former scam-coach (he found out he was working for scammers after he had been there for awhile and discovered their actual statistics.) He pointed out their business model actually consisted of finding and selling dupes a bill of goods which had them build their own ecommerce site. Only about 2-3% of these finished building their site. Another 2-3% of those actually made their original investment back. And out of that tiny amount, only about 2-3$ of those then made a real “killing” from whatever they chose. This last bunch are then interviewed in the infomercials (long with scantily-dressed, buxom “hostesses”.

This is also then the same control and approval methods which various companies use to get you buying their products and continuing to support their services. This is the phenomenon which makes “consumers” – which are literally “people who use it up” and customers, which are “creatures of habit”.  (But that is all covered in my lesson series on how to scam proof your life.)

The deal is that they hype these “actual examples” to get you sold on the idea that you could do it. However, the FTC had to crack down on these, which would then tell you that the average results are in fact that you just lose money with these deals. Some to the tune of over $30,000…

Natural distribution and spiritual enlightenment

Same goes for making “saints” out of “sinners.” While both of those terms are inaccurate, they really give us the same points of digression people follow who are going to make their way out of this mess we call humankind existence.

scam Cults and Governments: Make Money and Prevent FreedomThe vast bulk of the people have no clue what’s really going on. They live average lives going to work most of the week and paying out their income to support an average lifestyle, buying and paying off stuff that makes them feel secure. The government takes a huge chunk, as does their union (if they are in that shrinking minority), and more than half of what is left of what they make are sent to the black holes of insurance and finance companies. The average hard-working American, due to credit cards, usually has nearly nothing left to show for their life’s work – which is the exact design of advertisers, finance companies, and any government.

Now, about 2-4% figure out that they can actually improve their lives. These are the people who buy self-help, spiritual, and personal development books/tapes/seminars. The bulk of everyone else gets by with going to church on a regular basis. (The reverse minority are nihilists, who just consider life’s all a loss and that it is basically pain.)

Out of those 2-4% who know there’s a way out, only 2% of those will actually work out what their path needs to be in order to “go free” and “make it”.

And only about 2% of those will then stick to it and follow that path.

But of those finalists, only 2% will actually get enlightened in a given lifetime. Or about 1 in 10 million. Most of these keep it quiet, so you don’t hear much about them. (Follow the Christ’s works and you’ll see the problems he had with charismatic popularity and word-of-mouth advertising.)

That gives us a scale of:

  • The mundane “Muggles”
  • The Perceptive
  • The Genius
  • The Skywalkers

Now, the scale doesn’t really quit there, but the levels above enlightenment can’t be described in our words – they can only be intuited or imagined.

Churches, Self-Help Guru’s, and Money

Now, this also explains why there isn’t any money in philosophy and why real spiritual extremists (the guys who made it all the way out like Lao Tse (wrote Tao Te Ching), Siddhattha Gotama (Buddha), Jesus of Nazareth (the Christ) – none of these cared a hoot about money or even civilized society as it existed.

They were at or above that 4th level.

So in order to “do” anything with this metaphysical/spiritual stuff on a wide model – society wide – you have to have a lot of people working at the lower levels to keep people involved in it. Not that this either makes or prevents people from achieving actual enlightenment – but it’s a key point of having support groups for those who are between the 1st and 4th levels.

scam Cults and Governments: Make Money and Prevent FreedomAny government, loosely defined, is a support group. Mostly devoted to the darker side of survival – but still, it supports those contributing to it (particularly those in power).

In all these, people pay their dues and follow along as best they can. They all know that if they keep to what they are seeking, they will find it.

Now, additionally, you won’t find the uber-rich being the enlightened, either. They are still looking for themselves (or looking out for themselves.)

You see, once you get into the third level (Genius), money doesn’t matter. You’ve got all you really need. And most of the reasons people have for keeping this fiction called Money going no longer apply to living – at least Genius’ see it that way. If they need it, it’s there. Otherwise, skip it – not worth investing the energy into it. Look up the lives of Sun Tzu, the Christ, and Siddhartha and you’ll see they just skipped the whole idea of money and what it “can buy”.

Genius live in the intuitional – everything gets provided at that level. But there’s a curious caveat as well. Levenson pointed this out in the beginning of his “Fireside Chat” series, which Larry Crane published. When a person is getting everything handed to them, they have to keep going and move above that level. Or catastrophe happens. We saw this recently in one famed self-help guru who was in the middle of a process where he was pulling in around $400,000 – and some people died. Now he’s charged with manslaughter.

You have to move beyond money or anything it buys, or any identification with a body – and that puts you into that next level, of real enlightenment (Skywalkers).

But there are people around these Geniuses who can “make money” off their existence and actions. And many who know that they have to keep this going in order for them to finish finding their own route to salvation, so they have to build churches and maintain followings in order to support their lifestyle. This doesn’t say anything is bad about this, it’s just a fact of life that “things” cost money. Especially if you don’t get that you actually do make things show up around you – the money aspect is just a frivolous additional exercise. Like Wallace Wattles – what you need will show up for you along the existing lines of trade and manufacturing.

The trick to beating the natural distribution and achieving Enlightenment

The trick is that while there is a small minority of truly brilliant, there is also a minority of the equally-brilliant-but-criminally-destructive.  And these two balance each other out. It’s that old yin-yang thing. The middle route (quite Zen) is the way which actually wins out.  The criminal are those who are really keeping this planet down. It’s their offset which makes this distribution model the way it ends up.  If there were no offset, we’d simply all go free in short order. And it’s the fact that criminals simply can’t get it, so are always lop-sided and off-balance. Their base is destruction; they are always self-destructive to themselves and everyone around them.

But for all those people who are working as scammers and ignorant dicto-crats (North Korea, Uganda, anywhere people are being starved into submission) – mafia types which infiltrate (and run) governments – these are all equalized in the society as a whole, very effectively and at great expense, by honestly for-good-only organizations (Red Cross, among others) and everyone-wins, top-manager networks like CEO Space.

That’s the real reason for support groups like churches, social networks, and clubs like the Optimists. They need your help to keep the balance.

It’s our top minority (extremists) who are able to make it out in spite of. But you also see that the noise the lower end makes is what keeps the whole thing a mess – and so keeps this distribution pattern in place. So only the very few can make it out. (Now, eventually, it’s possible for everyone to make it out – but that’s a complete other story…)

[An interesting sidebar is that the "Middle Ground" is where the enlightened "skywalkers" find themselves. To these, there is no "evil" and "good", but just the whole Zen experience. From that viewpoint, this whole essay is completely an excess. Listening to Alan Watts explains why and how this is.]

How to get yourself enlightened is by NOT going after it

scam Cults and Governments: Make Money and Prevent FreedomEssentially, you can’t get there from here.

Practically, the leap from Muggle to perceiving your own path out is as wide as perceiving there are geniuses and then becoming one.  And the gap between an operating genius and becoming an enlightened skywalker is even broader.

Again, there is a trick to this. This middle road can’t be described in any of our languages. It can’t be taught; it can’t be studied. It has to be experienced, which is the way of all truth. You can’t “work” at this, you can’t pay anyone to help you achieve it. You can’t stumble on this by accident (although there are plenty of synchronous serendipities to take advantage of — or not.) And when you know you’re there, you are.  Meanwhile, you simply know that something isn’t complete, and so you are still looking…

So don’t think I’m anything above being a genius. If I were, I wouldn’t be writing this – it would just be obvious and not needing the telling. I can only tell you the obvious steps you might or might not take to get up to the level you can then make your own “leap of faith”.

Route to a top end?

scam Cults and Governments: Make Money and Prevent FreedomIntuition and your own Imagination are apparently the only effective skills you can develop in order to get up to that point.  At least the most effective known at this writing. You can derive such a path from studying as close as you can to what true Masters have said.  But you have to listen to these with your heart.

The trick is to get beyond having to “know” what is going on. You have to get beyond knowing, and find your own intuitional sense.

Of course, this goes beyond printed matter – but you won’t need it by this time, according to sources found to date. The Tao itself is a bit of a comic book, since it says that what can be spoken or written isn’t the Tao – and then continues on to tell all about it…

This starts to explain some of what we are running into in trying to discover this path – and why it’s so “hard” to do. Because you have to give up all the effort you’re expending to find everything you’ve been looking for. (This is as it’s really been there all along…)

Practically, you have to use whatever you are using to get enlightened to un-do their very fact and effectiveness of those exact tools. You won’t need them after that point, anyway. The impossible first becomes possible, and then they both become the same.

Again, words fail here as a description. But the reason for this is because you don’t need them any more. (And because this essay is of course supposed to be motivational, and get you to do something.)

You go to, and then beyond, the level of a Christ, a Buddha, a Master. There are obviously levels beyond just achieving the level of an enlightened being coexisting on this planet. Obvious.

- – - -

And we’re going to have to leave you with that. Nothing else needs to be said – or effectively could be.

Cheers.

Easier done than said.

sedona method Easier done than said.Visiting with some friends tonight, and at one point I was told, “It’s easier said than done…” To which I responded with the above.

Because, in Sedona Method, you really learn that all the Happiness, Joy, and Peace you could ever want is already “inside” you. Everything you want to “manifest” or “demonstrate” is already contained in that same space.  You only have to “let it out”. Lester Levenson covered this in a Larry Crane tape excerpt I posted here.

All life is just a series of “whats” that you manifest or demonstrate.

Money, particularly in the way my friends are working at it, is just a “what” you are trying to help others demonstrate in their own lives.

You are planting a seed in their garden so they can raise it.

But the “whats” are not really what you are going after. Metaphysically, you aren’t “going after” anything – you are just letting what is already there show up.

Because the only “what” you don’t have in your life is due to your own internal conversation about it. The ideas you think, the limits you’ve agreed to – these are the points which keep those “whats” at bay, invisible, in the world of the “not-quite-there-yet”.

When you attend these seminars, there is a result they are going for: by the end of these, you are pumped up emotionally so that you feel it’s OK to simply let these things you’ve always wanted to start showing up. As you get better and better at letting things out, they start appearing in your life.

These people who are “giving back” are just helping others get to the awareness they already have – that “you can do this”.

Now, to be sure – and this is no criticism – there is some training involved in this. But as you really look this over, training is again just a way to get you to let the native knowledge you already have “out”. Basically, and each of us has this integrally, you are really an omniscient and omnipotent being.

That concept is something we’ve been told not to accept, that it’s a sacrilege, etc. Etc. But look it over from a Huna viewpoint: “We are all connected. There are no limits.” So you already have access to every single bit of knowledge you could ever ask for. This is Haanel in his Master Key System, Napoleon Hill in his “sixth sense”. And Earl Nightingale in his “Strangest Secret” quoted Jesus the Christ, “Seek and you will find, Ask and it will be given, Knock and it will open for you.”

If you are looking for money, riches, property – any sort of stuff – you only have to accept that it’s already here. And it then shows up.

Of course some people get this backward – and they fall in love with the concept of money or the power that it can bring. But if you get this twisted, as scammers do, you will have a hard time either getting it or holding onto it. Simply because you are connecting other ideas with money as limits on your own demonstration of it. And your life gets really miserable – a tangled web because you are deceiving yourself. This is where another Bible quote goes: “The Love of Money is the Root of all Evil.”  Because you are still looking for an outside “what” to make you happy.

You are already capable of being as happy as you could ever want. Because inside, somewhere, you only have to let it out.

Too easy.

But miracles are effortless, too.

It is said, often, that “you become what you think about.” And Nightingale started out his famous gold recording by quoting Albert Sweitzer, “The problem is that people simply don’t think.” And about the time this recording was being made, Lester Levenson was working out that the problem was even deeper – people think too much. But you have to get up to the point that you can simply let all this thinking and all these mental mechanisms go. And even have them stay. The point is that once you get to the point where your own Freedom is more important and more valuable than anything and everything in the World, you can then have anything and everything in the world show up for you.

Now you can always say that some mechanism or other is “why” you now have this abundance in your life. A great stock deal, investing in real estate, selling rights to a bestseller book or product – all these are just excuses.

Simply, you can get to the point where you don’t “have to have” anything. So you then can have everything. Needs, Musts, Should’ve’s – all these are just simple internal limits to your own Self.

Let the Self go. And you find you can have it stay – as well as the rest of this Universe which you created.

Money?  That’s an easy one. It isn’t there because you think it isn’t. Quit all that thinking and just simply be.

And then you can play the game of watching stuff show up all around you.  Health, Wealth, Happiness, Peace of Mind, Relationships – all just small parts of the abundance that already lies “within” you.

Just let it all “out.”

And become the Master you already are.

Last words on self-help

sedona method Last words on self help

After over half a century on this planet, I’ve come back to the point of realizing that you can only chase your tail so long. Ultimately, you see the senselessness of it. (Now if we could just get that across to our government cronies, both elected and appointed…)

That snark aside, there are a few basics I’ve settled on as basic to everything else.

You may have noticed that I’ve been working over Alan Watts’ lectures and books recently. Right after I’d been working over Levenson’s, Dwoskin’s, and Crane’s material on the Sedona releasing techniques. And that was all after boiling down Dale Carnegie, Napoleon Hill, Wallace Wattles, Charles Haanel, Earl Nightingale, plus Serge Kahili King (and now, back to Max Freedom Long – soon to be released as a newly re-published edition on http://gothunkyourself.com).

As I’ve privately admitted, I have little else to say in this area. It’s all over, done, kaput, finished.

But was I actually done with the subject of self-help after all this time I spent in Scientology, Christianity, and all of the above? Yes and No. What remains is application. It’s easy to know about Zen, and some like Watts found it a life’s purpose in studying everything they could in order to lecture and write endlessly about it. But there is a wide gulf of application that remains. Putting all this stuff to use.

It’s not enough to know and write. It’s also necessary to do. Walk your talk and all that.

Now, I am going to tell you right now that I don’t believe in all this stuff I’ve been writing. And, as I cover in my upcoming “Freedom Is – (period)” – your own mileage may vary. Your own path “up and out” of the morass you put yourself in will require different digging and climbing tools than the person climbing next to you.

For me, I have essentially two points:

1. The world around you is as you create it: “You become what you think about.” “The world is what you think it is.” This simply means that the world is your dream to make into reality. And this key point actually creates the rest. If you are here in this space, reading this, you are an individual. Quite different from whether you forward the concepts of the Tao and Levenson, who both hold that you are part of a greater Being and this world is more the sliver stuck in a thumb than actually surrounding you and affecting you.

Of course, this takes some practice to get used to. But you can start with realizing that there isn’t really anything but the “Now” and both past and future are constantly shifting depending on your current creative thoughts. At the extreme end of this, all the physical laws around you only work to the exact degree that you believe in them and hold that faith. Which of course explain all the miracles and magic which we occasionally confront.

2. Empirically, the Golden Rule works and applies to everyone. Again, the Huna, “We are all connected.” So that what you do for or against someone else is what you do for and against your self. Being critical of someone is a useless action. So your own progress, toward whatever goal you might have, is dependent on helping others achieve whatever goals they themselves would seek.

Of course, that means you have to allow others to have the right to think their own thoughts. And create their own lives. Or even destroy them. Doesn’t mean you can’t try to help them live it better – but about 3% are going to work hard at doing themselves in regardless, just the way this place is set up (empirically, anyway.) The “poor will always be with us” – because that is their choice. No amount of Welfare or education or charity will cure it.

I also consider that the rest of the basic 7 Huna principles hold true, as they are workable – to me at least. As long as I believe in them, they’ll keep working and explaining stuff I come across. But you can take them or leave them – your choice.

There are various corollaries which follow – that all the Freedom, Happiness, and Peace you could possibly want are already available. That the only limits you experience are your own. “All Power comes from within.”

So I don’t see that there is a great deal of writing still needed in this area. I have a couple more books to get out (Long’s work, “Freedom Is – “, and finishing up “Get Your Self Scam Free”). After that, I have lots of cartooning to draw and cross-reference in my blogging. Making fun of all the seriousness around us would seem to be a valuable commodity to have. As far as commodities are valuable at all…

But your life is your own. And what you consider how you can live life best is also only up to you. Like me.

I’ve found a deep and lasting peace. Now we can really start to have some fun.

Like Forrest Gump, “…and that’s all I have to say about that.”

How do you demonstrate what you really want in life?

sedona method How do you demonstrate what you really want in life?

Just listening to some Larry Crane recordings from his Abundance course. Came across this great excerpt there (it’s in his workbook) about how people demonstrate what they want. (This “Will Power” tape is actually in this set.)

You’ll see what’s recently become popular as the “Law of Attraction” and “Manifesting”.

Same points as Earl Nightingale and Napoleon Hill: “You become (get) what you think about.”

LESTER LEVENSON on DEMONSTRATION

A transcript from Lester’s “Will Power” audio:

Whether we are aware of it or not, everyone is controlling matter all the time. Whether one wants to be a demonstrator or not, he is. It is impossible to not be a creator all the time. Everyone is creating every day. We’re not aware of it because we just don’t look at it. Every thought, every single thought materializes in the physical world. It’s impossible to have a thought that will not materialize, except when we reverse it. If we say the opposite right after we have a thought of equal strength, we just neutralize it. But any thought not reversed or neutralized will materialize in the future, if not immediately. So this thing of demonstration that we’re all trying so hard to do we’re doing all the time, unaware of the fact that we are doing it. All we need to do is consciously direct it, and that we call demonstration.

Everything that everyone has in life is a demonstration. It could not come into your experience had you not had a thought of it sometime prior. If you want to know what you sum total thinkingness is, it’s exactly determined by what’s around you, what you have. That is your demonstration. If you like it, you may hold it. If you don’t start changing your thinking, concentrate it in the direction that you really want until those thoughts become predominant — and whatever those thoughts are will materialize in the world. And when you begin to demonstrate consciously — small things — you may then realize that the only reason why they’re small is because you don’t dare to think big. But the exact same rule or principle applies to demonstrating a penny that applies to demonstrating a billion dollars. The mind sets the size. Anyone who can demonstrate a dollar can demonstrate a million dollars. Become aware of the way you’re demonstrating the one-dollar bill, and just put six zeroes after it next time. Take on the consciousness of the million, rather than the one-dollar bill.

This relates to what I have been saying that there’s not difference between the spiritual and the material when you see it, the material being just an out-projecting of our minds into what we call the universe, the world and many bodies. And when we see that it is just an out-projecting of our mind, that it’s just a picture out there we have crated, we can very easily change it. Instantly. So to repeat: Everyone is demonstrating and creating during every moment that he or she is thinking. You have no choice. You are a creator so long as you have a mind and think. To get beyond creation, we must go beyond the mind — and just beyond the mind is the realm of all Knowingness, where there is no need for creation. There’s a higher state than creation: It’s a state of is-ness, of being-ness, sometimes called Awareness, Beingness, Consciousness. That’s just behind the mind. That’s beyond creation. The mind finds it very difficult to imagine what it’s like beyond creation because it is involved primarily in creation — in the act of creating. It’s the creating instrument of the universe and everything that happens in the world, in the universe. So, if you take this thing called mind, which is only a creator, and try to imagine what it is like beyond creation, it’s impossible. The mind will never know peace (quiet) because you have to go just above the mind to know peace (quiet) to know the Infinite Being that we are — to know what it’s like beyond creation. The final state is beyond creation. The ultimate State is the changeless state. In creation, everything is constantly changing. Therefore, in creation, the Ultimate Truth is not there. So demonstrate what one wants, one needs to become aware of the fact that all we need to do is to think only of the things we want, and that is all that we would get, if we would do just that. Only think of the things you want, and that’s what you’ll be getting all the time, because the mind is only creative. Nice and easy, isn’t it? Also, take credit for all the things you create that you don’t like. Just say, “Oh, look what I did,” because when you become aware that you’ve created things you don’t like, you’re still in a position of creator. If you don’t like it, all you have to do is turn it upside down and you’ll like it.

Learn to get a free mind with stupid yogi tricks

sedona method Learn to get a free mind with stupid yogi tricks

Living on this planet is made a lot harder than it needs to be. It’s really too easy to figure out and know how to live a great life, full of Happiness, Peace, and Freedom if you really want it.

Now, those “stupid” yogi tricks aren’t really that dumb. But people call them than in order to control others and keep them from finding their own Freedom.

Lester Levenson worked out a lot of this from what he experienced in the early 50’s. He had to study all sorts of Western and Eastern religious and spiritualist books in order to make sense of what he had gone through.

Out of his writings and tapes, you can figure out a scale of sorts:

Love

Mind

Desires

Feelings

Thoughts

Life as we know it.

Sure, there is a lot to fill in among the blanks between these. This is just simplified (stupid) look at the subject.

But it begins to explain what I’d run across in Claude Bristol’s “Magic of Believing”. That author didn’t really understand how these yogi’s and swami’s were able to do what they did, except under the very general description of “belief”.

Levenson has taken it a bit further.

Look, it’s really simple. (And I’ve covered it recently under earlier Sedona Method posts.)

1. Love created this universe (see Haanel for a better breakdown).

2. In order to live in this setup, we created Mind.

3. We then used that mind to create everything else.

4. To keep it interesting, we decided that avoiding death was very important – and so then created desires which kept us into survival patterns which helped put off dying.

5. Feelings were set up to give us clues to when we were getting closer or further away from these desires.

6. Thoughts and the mental habit of thinking were then built on top of feelings.

And so we come right up to the modern day where “The Secret” DVD and Earl Nightingale (from Napoleon Hill) say that we can get whatever we want by learning to control our thoughts.

But the easier path is to simply release those desires, which then helps quiet the mind and eventually eliminate even the “need” for thinking. About then we can work out how to quit having to constantly mess with our aversion to death.

Levenson worked this path out from studying all those yogi’s and swami’s (plus some American preachers as well). His Sedona releasing method simply pulls the rug out from under the whole thing. Because once you get the desires quenched, you actually get into an effortless mode where everything you could possibly want starts showing up.

And you then really do have everything you could ever want – just exactly to the degree you quit that bad mental habit of resisting stuff that happens in the world around you.

Of course, this is all your choice. And you can believe it or not. Some people have been able to remarkably change their life. You might be able to as well.

Try it and see.

Your best, fastest way to personal Freedom, Happiness, and Peace

sedona method Your best, fastest way to personal Freedom, Happiness, and Peace

It looks like using the best of all the release techniques will get the fastest results. Now, this varies according to what you think is the best – which makes a lot of sense.

Larry Crane has free downloads on his site of various MP3’s and in these tells about how to simply put your attention on your gut or chest to physiological reactions there. These tell you you’re holding on to something. He gives the idea of figuratively opening a “door” in that area and just bringing stuff up and letting it release. Just almost shovel the stuff out wholesale.

I’ve found that you can leave this door open overnight and just let anything and everything that needs to leave do so. Otherwise, keep it open during the day so you can quickly just let anything that you find during the day out.

Of course, once you get down to how simple this is, you don’t need to consult your stomach or chest for a reaction, and you can simply accept it and let it go.

And any stuckness, you use Hale Dwoskin’s technique of letting go of the stuckness. Then right back to releasing as normal.

Now, once you’ve been doing this for awhile, you get pretty stable about life in general. And the attitude you’ll notice is one that Earl Nightingale describes as “calm, cheerful expectancy”, and Levenson referred to as “courageousness, acceptance, peace”, as well as “imperturbability”. You’ll find that while maybe not everything is great around you, you can easily deal with what comes up.

Once you’ve got this stable scene going, you can then go for anything you’re still holding onto as regards physical death or survival as a body, or even surviving as a personality. A fast approach to this is to consider or meditate on answers to the question, “What Am I?”

The idea is to get into a state of constant hootlessness, where you don’t give a hoot what goes on around you.

That’s where you make your best progress toward letting your own inner light shine out. Somewhere along that line, you’ll actually resolve any goals questions you have and settle down into whatever you have been intending to get done in this life. And it’s all easy street from there on out.

Not that more stuff won’t necessarily come up to let go or release – but it comes and goes faster and then you’re just back to simply being hootless and listening for those inspirations which come in and guide your actions. You just know what to do and how to do it, and everything is Easy Street.

Oh, and everything you need comes to you, but that’s really secondary. If you keep stuck on “getting stuff” to measure your progress, Levenson points out that this just will bring you to a crash later. Major disaster, is how he phrased it. And we’ve seen this recently with a few of these self-help “guru’s”.

You’ve got to get beyond money, success, great health, incredible relationships. When you get hootless, all of these show up and stay there – as long as you need them. Because their presence all depends on how much you are helping others find their own personal Freedom, Happiness, and Peace. You’ll more than likely get involved constantly in just helping others to let their own light shine. You really don’t give a hoot about your private scene – it’s been under control for a long time and just goes along fine.

Your attention goes outside of you to help others with their scenes. And that helps you stay hootless and on top of things. It’s not how much you’re loved, its how much you love others and help spread that love around. Like Wallace Wattles tells, you are spreading the idea of abundance to others on a constant basis, helping them get rid of any idea they have of lack.

And when you get your attention off your own Self, then it really speeds everything up.

Lester Levenson and the 7th step of releasing

sedona method Lester Levenson and the 7th step of releasing

I don’t know why, but you don’t find this 7th step of the releasing technique mentioned in the various Larry Crane and Hale Dwoskin work-ups.

Practically, it’s been around as a practice since time immemorial.

Here’s what Levenson said in a tape series called, “The Way”:

7. Make your behavior that which a Master would do.

Whatever you do, do it successfully.

The more imperfectly we work, the lower down the scale we are.

The action required to go free is releasing all the obstruction.

A Master, as we’ve covered elsewhere, is someone who has already achieved a high state of enlightenment and self-knowledge. And there are more around on this planet than we consider. But that’s another essay I’ve already written.

For our use here, it is really that one sentence and the explanation I pulled from his tape – not an exact quote, but close.

People have often used others’ examples to compare and contrast their own lives with. Levenson is telling you to simply do what a Master would do.

Of course, you probably have heard that phrase, “What would Jesus do?” – which is completely applicable, just as “What would Buddha – or Lao Tse, or Confucius, or Muhammad, or any other major spiritual leader – do?”

The idea that comes to me, particularly in following Levenson’s example above, is that you always work for perfection in every single thing that you do. All actions are professional and give a much greater value than are asked for. Wallace Wattles covered that exact point in his “Science of Getting Rich.” Similarly Earl Nightingale covered similar points in his “Strangest Secret” recording.

And so very interesting was a point I first ran into from Napoleon Hill’s “Think and Grow Rich” – where he quotes the psychologist William James – that all you have to do is to act the part and whatever you do will take the place of any feeling you are currently experiencing. Be brave, and you are. Laugh, and then you’ll certainly be merry.

So that gives us a very practical and pragmatic approach to life. Study up on the lives and teachings of these spiritual leaders – or any Master in any field – and you’ll see exactly how to approach life from that viewpoint.

Don’t assume their persona, be your self – but make your actions those a Master would do. In other words, take all this in advisement, but throw it away if it doesn’t let you be yourself.

Because you are already a Master, we are just working out how to let your inner light shine – aren’t we?

Try this for 30 days and you’ll start replacing habits you didn’t even know you had.

I can already see where I can get some improvement out of this – I hope you have as well.

But, please – feel free to leave a comment either way.
