Achieving Goals by Sedona Release Techniques

sedona method Achieving Goals by Sedona Release Techniques Had a breakthrough today which I just had to tell you about. And in my own style, it’s a bit esoterically powerful in application.

Before I tell you how you can improve your ability in setting and achieving your personal and business goals, we have to cover how you go about your life goals setting. And also what success goals you would want to shoot for.

Lester Levenson had a great deal to cover on this, as does Hale Dwoskin and Larry Crane. Goals are important to people. And it doesn’t matter if you use Sedona Method or Release Technique to improve your goal achievement.

You have to know how to find goals to set. And mostly, this is done by getting beyond all the control, approval, and security involved with even needing a goal to begin with.

If you really look at it, anything to do with money is really only due to those three desires: control, approval, and security. If money disappeared tomorrow, people would still be able to make a living. If people disappeared tomorrow, so would any money. Money is a fiction created by people – mostly to get and hold control over others, to get and win approval, to provide security or ensure it.

That’s the whole discussion on the Health Care Bill right now – false security by the concept that people have to be insured, and how much this is going to cost. And who is going to control it all – plus these Congress-people wanting or flaunting the approval of their constituents.

Popularity and celebrity is another gimmick and runs the same way. It’s heavy on approval and control.

Ask Al Gore. He’s on his way to taking a PowerPoint presentation into a cool billionaire status by running a carbon-trading company – nice work if you can get it. Nice awards on that mantel, Al.

But you can have all the money you would ever want. And also any amount of celebrity you could need. We could each one of us be Donald Trumps if we wanted.

The trick is in letting go of the pluses and minuses to each end of the spectrum.

And this is before you decide on any goal for yourself, your life, or your business, or relationships, etc.

Now, I’m not one to make things more complex. I tell people to take Hale Dwoskin’s and Larry Crane’s stuff and use what they can out of it. Because once you get this releasing stuff really plugged into your life, it becomes a natural action. Like breathing. It’s actually part of your way of life.

For some of us, there can be short cuts to the seemingly harder situations to release.

So I’ve extracted a method that both Hale and Larry use different versions of – which is to alternately release on both extremes.

Take money (just not mine…) Release on being insanely rich, and do that until it seems fine with you. Then release on being completely poor (“ Being broke is temporary, poor is a state of mind.”) And do that end of it until it’s fine with you. Then back to “being rich” again. Then do “poor” again after that.

You just keep this up 1 – 2 – 1 – 2 – 1… until the whole subject is completely fine with you. What you’re looking for is to be completely content with the subject and no longer attached to it in any degree.

One point a friend pointed out was to also release on the good feelings you have about being rich or poor – like the control it gets you out of, or how it helps you get control over others, or approval from people, etc. You can have those “good” results from these desires when you are rich or poor…  So release everything on both ends as you go.

And after that, you’ll have all the money you need when you need it – but you won’t “need” it anymore in general.

You can do this with any particular goal in your life. Or purpose or anything else you are trying to achieve, acquire, become, etc.

The point, of course, is to take all the effort out of it and move everything in your life over into the “miracles as usual” band. Because that’s really how you get everything around you. You just demonstrate/manifest it. All these other reasons and excuses and “because’s” are just thoughts and resistance you’ve built up along the way.

Trick is in getting back to your native operating state – and drop all these thoughts off along the way.

And once you don’t “have to have” anything, then your goals will come to you naturally and intuitively. You don’t have to “decide” on a goal or do a complex advantages/disadvantages list – or anything like it. Just first get really “hootless” on the subject itself. Then see if you don’t already have a goal for this area. You may not even need to have a goal now – since, like money, it just shows up as and when you need it.

Of course, this isn’t going to get you accepted into the finest clubs and universities – because they “make money” from keeping this difficult. So it’s just our little secret – which is now all over the Internet. ;)

And of course, drop me a line or leave a comment on how this goes for you…

Sedona Releasing Methode Course – Lesson 01

lifestyle choice Sedona Releasing Methode Course Lesson 01

A person recently elected themselves my student, so I agreed to teach as best I could.

Here’s the first installment of this:

Well, I’m honored, to say the  least. If I hadn’t gotten over being embarrassed, I’d be red-faced.

But sure, I can help you as I can. And as we do, I’ll probably use this to figure out how to train people on this – as well as helping them to train themselves and others around them.

Now we have to start before the beginning.

First, you can’t learn this stuff – and it can’t be taught. You’ll find that you are actually un-learning lots of false data heaped on top of what you natively always knew to be true.

Second, you can’t do this releasing stuff wrong. In fact, you can’t actually live life wrong. Everything you’ve went through up to this point has been a necessary step to this point. Any problem you still have with what you’ve done in the past is simply that – something in the past that is only bothering you because you are still resisting it to some degree.

And that’s what you’re here for – to learn to release and reacquire that native peace you were born with. We want to make this a permanent feature in our lives from here on out. The great point is that it’s not that hard to do.

Releasing is simple. Hale Dwoskin gives this great example:

  1. Pick up a pencil or pen and hold it in your hand out in front of you. Now grip it really tightly. Really hold onto it like there’s no tomorrow. It will get uncomfortable after a bit.
  2. Now, just let it go.

That’s a demonstration of how you are holding on to stuff and how you can release it.
(Now pick up the pen so it doesn’t bother you – or you trip over it.)

You’ve been taught, or learned, from time immemorial that you can’t, shouldn’t, must, mustn’t, should do or not do all sorts of actions, be or not be all sorts of identities and personalities, have or not have anything and everything around you.

But practically, none of that has helped you get real peace of mind, or perpetual happiness, or unchallengable personal freedom. All that you’ve been through has just layered on top of earlier teachings and lessons – and these simply told you that  you couldn’t.

And all those teaching moments were just piled higher and deeper on top of your native state. (See, you’ve already had a PhD…)

You are and always have been just as happy, free, and peaceful as you could ever want or need. The trick is that you’ve agreed to a greater or lesser degree that you can’t, won’t, or mustn’t. The only thing that is keeping you down is your own agreements.

Getting rid of these agreements is simple – you only have to just let them go. And they do.

Now, the way I learned this stuff was to study all the various methods and techniques that were out there. Crane, Dwoskin, Seretan. All these guys learned directly from Levenson. It ended up that the most of my time was simply listening to and reading everything I could find from Levenson himself.

Here’s a simpler way to start – all the key blog posts plus a couple of video’s I’ve found:

That last one has a word AGFLAP – which is an emotional scale of sorts. See this post for a brief explanation:

I’d also say to go to all those sites on http://robertworstell.com/sedona-method-review/ and get all the free stuff you can from these. Dwoskin sends you out a nice CD and DVD for signing up with him, and Crane has a lot of MP3 downloads – as does Hale. Seretan’s got books, as does Crane. Start off with the free stuff and don’t take any of it seriously – nor should you take me seriously. Just “take it all for checking” as they say – and use what you can out of it.

Because you are the only one who can “free yourself” – so you have to tailor make your own tools to fit whatever you are needing at the time. Just the way it is. One size doesn’t fit all, even if it fits most.

So look over what I’ve given you above and make your notes, try out what you can that’s immediately applicable.

Now, I’m going to have to let you get on with this from this point and then come back at me with the questions you have.

There is no way to teach this in a formal classroom. That type of teaching is built on enforced resistance. You’ll have to take the more traditional method of teaching, which is ask the question you have as it comes up – and I’ll see how I can answer it from what I understand.

And you have to realize that the teacher is always the student, the student always the teacher – I’ll be learning as I go from you just as much. So please don’t mind if I ask you a question from time to time…

Once you digest all of this, let me know. I’ll be out here somewhere and will get back to you as fast as I can.

Sedona Releasing Zen

sedona method Sedona Releasing Zen

Once you get done releasing all you can release, then you release releasing.

It becomes a way of life. Nothing more.

As you get all that Hale Dwoskin and Larry Crane and Lester Levenson and anyone else with an oar in the water – when you get all you can learn from these people, then just let it all go. Accept (welcome) it – then let it go. Or both at the same time.

You can take up Alan Watts as a study in order to understand the comparative religion references which Levenson mentioned, as well as the metaphysical concepts Dwoskin mentions in his advanced seminars. But of course, Watts often referred to himself as a fraud.

And as you get right up to the top level, you find that you’ve let it all go. Somewhere along the way.

You also find that there is no “top”. But the journey is great reward enough.

The Game of Life then becomes just too simple.

When you get to this point, do you look different to others? No. Are you particularly healthier, have perfect relationships, get more wealthy immediately – nope.

But everything is a lot easier.

You get to the point where it’s all just — well, … just so. The closest word to this is Zen.

But that’s for people who still need words. Some only need intuition. Others need more. Up to you.

Doesn’t mean you become Buddhist or Taoist or anything at all. Practically, you just become yourself. And then you move beyond your Self.

Life just gets better. If you want it to, anyway.

Simple.

And there’s not much more to it than that.

How do you demonstrate your life goals?

sedona method How do you demonstrate your life goals?

Studying Alan Watts, I recently came across this from his “The Book on the Taboo Against Knowing Who You Are”.

“…the game of life as Western man has been “playing” it for the past century needs less emphasis on practicality, results, progress, and aggression. This is why I am discussing vision, and keeping off the subject of justifying the vision in terms of its practical applications and consequences. Whatever may be true for the Chinese and the Hindus, it is timely for us to recognize that the future is an ever-retreating mirage, and to switch our immense energy and technical skill to contemplation instead of action. However much we may now disagree with Aristotle’s logic and his metaphors, he must still be respected for reminding us that the goal of action is always contemplation—knowing and being rather than seeking and becoming.

As it is, we are merely bolting our lives—gulping down undigested experiences as fast as we can stuff them in—because awareness of our own existence is so superficial and so narrow that nothing seems to us more boring than simple being. If I ask you what you did, saw, heard, smelled, touched, and tasted yesterday, I am likely to get nothing more than the thin, sketchy outline of the few things that you noticed, and of those only what you thought worth remembering.”

This really brings up that there are three basic approaches to life:

  1. Take the Western concept of always pushing through to get goals, accomplishments, attainments, and acquisitions around you.
  2. Take the Eastern concept of simply throwing it all over in favor of the quest to be one with the environment, the nascent creation of all which is ever present.
  3. Or start really enjoying the journey rather than the end of it.

None are actually more correct or better than the other. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. I’ve listened to both Larry Crane and Hale Dwoskin, as well as their mentor Lester Levenson – each of these has a quite different take on how to approach life, although they each use releasing to forward their own particular approaches to living.

Frankly, you’ll be better off no matter which one you follow – or if you follow none of them. That is, if you want to get better.

Because, if you really want something, you’ll get it. If you want to get better, ultimately you will.

Now I got onto this study of Watts because of his lectures on the Tao, which is a great complementary study to Levenson’s Sedona releasing method. That and Jesus’ own direct words.

Funny that I ran across this answer to a question of what to do when you get perfectly imperturbable. Not surprising, though…

How I’m learning to let my own light shine – to spite my illness

sedona method How Im learning to let my own light shine to spite my illness

There was an interesting development over the weekend. I got an eye infection that wouldn’t quit. Now, since I’m a Scorpio by birthdate, this includes me into the area of people who don’t get sick much, but when they do – it’s a doozie. (At least that’s what’s on paper.)

A checkup today said I had some oddball thing where the auto-immune system was actually attacking the eye as a foreign particle. Something called Iritis – infection of the iris.

Now, I just had to check back into my immediate past to see if I hadn’t released on something that could have started that all off. Of course, Hale would say, “are you trying to figure it out?” and then tell me to simply release on it.

The point of education here (“teachable moment”) is that illness is stress-related – which is simply having accepted some limit which keeps the normal Peace and Joy from flowing out.

Often this will manifest on the body. Simple.

Seems I was involved with a ripoff artist bunch. But these guys are tar-babies – you have to let go of them at the word “hello”. And that’s not what I did.

So this pulls a price in terms of emotional involvement – requires some heavy thinking, which just dredges up old mental habits. And some of these have a physical kickback connected to them.

My approach to this, then is just as drastic as the medicine the doctor told me to take. For the next few days, I’ll be doing more meditative releasing than anything else. Nothing but staying focused on “What am I?” and releasing any other thought that comes up.

It’s really jut time to go for blood on this. A little freelance to get out of the way, and I really have nothing else to do at that point. Go hermit and isolate to make some personal freedom progress. Stay off the computer (well, maybe a little everyday to update my emails) and just concentrate on Freedom.

Oh – if this sounds interesting – don’t wait until you get a serious illness to try it. Take a week off from your regular life and do a retreat where you can simply concentrate of “What am I?” Because you have to want Freedom more than you want the World. Check out Levenson’s Sedona Method for yourself.

The Great Sedona Method Experiment – Freedom with no cost

sedona method The Great Sedona Method Experiment Freedom with no cost

This is no experiment, this is life at its fullest.

While this may seem adventurous to some, it is really every persons’ adventure. Because if you are reading this, you are seeking peace, personal freedom, happiness, joy, prosperity – whatever you want to call it and in all its incarnations.

But I’m not here to simply parrot or explain Levenson, Dwoskin, Crane, or anyone else. These are just my own approach to this particular subject of personal clearing – if you want to call it that.

The Rules:

1. Cut out all TV, radio, newspapers, magazines other than what you need to directly live your life. Sure, if we could create a cave with temperature control and sufficient food to live indefinately, then you could cut everything out – all contact with the world for the period you are working at this. But realistically, no.

My compromise is to live on a farm with little contact with people other than a very few close family and whoever I have to deal with to get the farm business done. My freelance is on the web, so I work at this. And try to keep from going down rabbit holes by staying focused with exact actions to do daily.

The idea is to calm the mind and not let disturbances set it off again.

2. Understand the various release techniques fully. Get the books, listen to as many tapes as you have to. Get all this homework done as you can. Keep these to hand as reference, but don’t refer to them constantly. Get the basics down to simplicities that you can easily apply. (I’ve got some “boiling down” to do, which I’ll post as I can.)

3. Release constantly. Everything that comes up – until nothing comes up at all. Find your intuitive Self – and work out how to release that as well. Release all bliss as well. You’ll know when you’re done.Release stuckness when you get stuck, if you do.

4. Take no examples of anyone else as standards or goals for yourself. Not Lester, not the Christ, not anyone. In fact, release all goals and all personal standards of behavior you had earlier set. Become completely hootless about anything and everything. Attain or acquire anything and everything you need by releasing.

5. When you run out of things to release, and the world is perfect all the time, answer: “What Am I?”

- – - -

That’s the sum of it.

Doesn’t mean you don’t do anything, but it does mean you have to release constantly. Listening to TV or radio or any “news” just sets you back, as these are just distractions and arbitrarily give you more to release. You have to want your own freedom more than you want the world.

What we are working at is to get as high as we can, as fast as we can – and that upper energy level will allow much faster releasing of broader concepts.

The key points are to get the world off your back until you are fully released. I’m not going to say you are going to become a Master – that is between you and your Self. I don’t say you are going to do or achieve anything. If you follow these steps at all, what you get out is what you put in.

  • Get the world off your back,
  • know and understand the basics so you can apply them simply.
  • Release constantly.
  • And when you run out of things to release and the world is perfect all the time, answer the question: “What Am I?”

I’m not saying this is easy or hard to do. Your mileage may vary.

It is just the approach I’m taking.

And I’ll keep you posted how it goes.

Be the author of your own life story. Truth and Responsibility

sedona method Be the author of your own life story. Truth and Responsibility

It’s just too easy to say life is an open book. Especially when you say that someone else wrote it. But practically, there is no way around the fact that you are the author of your own life’s story – the plot is yours alone, as well as the actions of practically all the characters in it.

I’ve been going on for awhile about how the Golden Rule works around you all the time, that it can’t be avoided or negated – it just is. Regardless of whether you “believe in it” or not, regardless of your faith. It just is.

So that means, essentially, that regardless of your relationship with God, a great deal of what is around you right now is the result of your actions or inactions – if not all of them.

Now this takes you a bit beyond “The Secret” and what it said. Wallace Wattles (Science of Getting Rich) and others have made a great deal about your needing to be grateful for what you have in order to get more of anything you want. And that is all very true. But this concept above takes you a bit beyond that point.

It really takes you a step toward what Lester Levenson is talking about with his original Sedona Method teachings. And this is where the common sense of “The Secret” meets the extreme metaphysics of Levenson.

The world around you, for all practical purposes (and within believable limits) is what you put there. If you’ve been critical toward others, you’ve gotten some criticism into your life in return. Where you’ve been caring and appreciative, you’ve seen some care and appreciation come into your life. Where you have openhandedly helped others achieve their own goals – you’ve received some unexpected help with whatever you have elected to achieve.

So with this we are seeing that the more responsible you are for the world around you, the more it turns closer to Heaven on earth. Because the Kingdom of Heaven is within you, as Jesus said. You just have to “let your light shine” so that it starts showing around you.

And that’s where Levenson’s release technique comes into play.

What is holding you back from simply being gracious with everyone around you and helping everyone in sight to be and do their best for the people who surround them? Our own thoughts are traitors, as Earl Nightingale quoted Shakespeare. That is exactly the problem we face – the prison for our soul is composed of those habitual thoughts we’ve kept to tell us how to react in various circumstances. Fear, anger, distrust, apathy, worry, anxiety – all these reactions are those we’ve put there and still hold in place.

Get rid of these and you can see and foster more good in people around you. And more and more of that goodness then comes into your own life. Because the Golden Rule is inexorable. Happens anyway. Like it or not.

Releasing just allows you to get over all those negative thoughts, releasing allows your own internal happiness and joy to show up more and more frequently. No effort.

The next time you feel like doing something to someone that you wouldn’t like having happen to you – try this:

  • Pause for a moment.
  • Take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth – slowly.
  • Then simply accept that emotion which is coming in. Let it really show up in full – don’t act on it, just let it be.
  • Then see if you can simply let it go, release it.
  • Now, go ahead and treat that person the way you’d like it.

Too often, it will simply go away on just those few steps. (Hale Dwoskin and Larry Crane have more steps you can learn for free on how to do this over at their Sedona Method sites.)

But as you keep this up, and constantly work to help others around you in just the way you’d like to have happen to you if you were in their situation – keep releasing all feelings you have coming into you which tell you not to act that way… Then the world around you starts to even out. And you’ll see gratitude start swelling up in you for everything around you – because you are being responsible for that world and are appreciative of all that you helped bring into your life.

Try it and see for yourself.

And let me know your results…
