Making your own luck, via intuition

sedona method Making your own luck, via intuitionPounding around and checking out old feeds, I found a link from finerminds.com where they pulled up an old (2003) article about lucky and unlucky people.

Of course I commented on how to make your own luck earlier, and was surprised to see in this old write up how my observations tended to explain what he had found.  Richard Wiseman original article here.

And here’s what Wiseman said of note:

Unlucky people often fail to follow their intuition when making a choice, whereas lucky people tend to respect hunches. Lucky people are interested in how they both think and feel about the various options, rather than simply looking at the rational side of the situation. I think this helps them because gut feelings act as an alarm bell – a reason to consider a decision carefully.

Unlucky people tend to be creatures of routine. They tend to take the same route to and from work and talk to the same types of people at parties. In contrast, many lucky people try to introduce variety into their lives. For example, one person described how he thought of a colour before arriving at a party and then introduced himself to people wearing that colour. This kind of behaviour boosts the likelihood of chance opportunities by introducing variety.

Lucky people tend to see the positive side of their ill fortune. They imagine how things could have been worse. In one interview, a lucky volunteer arrived with his leg in a plaster cast and described how he had fallen down a flight of stairs. I asked him whether he still felt lucky and he cheerfully explained that he felt luckier than before. As he pointed out, he could have broken his neck.

All this thinking about how their lives are rolling unlucky or lucky are really just additives. It won’t allow you to release your native freedom, happiness, or peace that’s already there inside you.  You have to really start living within your intuition – which is a very broad world, actually.

And you can see that Sedona Method releasing technique will actually take you right out of any “unlucky” scene you are involved in. Because when you take the control, approval, and security desires out of the Wiseman paragraphs, then you can’t really be anything but lucky – unless, of course, you want to play the “unlucky” game for awhile…

All ripoff artists are tar-babies

lifestyle choice All ripoff artists are tar babies

If you touch them at all, you’re stuck. Don’t think the government is going to get you unstuck, either.

And the only way you can really get ripped off is to believe in their pitch to begin with.

But the trick is to stay far away to begin with – or take some actions now so you don’t have these rip-off artists on your lines ever again:

1. When a telemarketer calls, say “No.” and then tell them to take your name off their lists.

2. Never give a real phone number out online. Period. They don’t need to know. One solution I’d read was to get a cel phone, keep it paid up, and turn off the ringer and message service. (They aren’t legally supposed to be calling cel-phones anyway.)

3. Quit using credit cards. They can send telemarketers your way under their agreements’ fine print.

And once you are done with these internet rip off artists – stay far, far away and never deal in their general direction again (unless you are subpoenaed for legal information in someone else’s case, obviously.)

Additional tip: use release technique to get rid of the negative thinking and emotions these guys stir up. One thing you can bless them for – giving you something to release…

How You, Me, and the World around us actually works

sedona method How You, Me, and the World around us actually works

You can get everything you want in life – and actually do. Whatever surrounds you is already what you’ve always wanted most.

So if you want something different, you simply have to change your mind.

But how to change it is the problem. Apparently, anyway.

Let’s look at basics:

  • You exist.
  • You create the world around you by what and how you think.
  • Your thoughts don’t have to be on automatic all the time.
  • You can change your feelings whenever you want.
  • A thought about something in the future will never create anything – because the future never comes.
  • Thinking about the past only changes your ideas about what happened before this point, if only a couple of micro-seconds ago. Those thoughts don’t change the Now.
  • Only creative thinking about what you want right Now will change what you are experiencing right Now.
  • As everything you think comes back to you, thinking destructively about anyone or anything doesn’t do or bring you any good.

There are a lot of therapies out there which cost a lot of money, but don’t practically do anything (except make that person or organization rich) – because they deal with things that occurred in the past.  What happened is done. Over. Kaput. Finished. Finis. You can’t change it and thinking about it won’t improve what is happening around you. Psychiatry, Scientology, any of these “sciences of the mind” which deal with regression – all these work ineffectively (and expensively) if at all. And they are always a continuing saga – you have to keep getting more sessions and paying more money from here on out.

The only reason we can’t get what we want in life to show up around us is that we are always keeping thoughts around us from the past. Those thought-habits are to keep us safe, to make sure people think well of us, to ensure we can control the world around us.

All those reasons are bogus.

Because the World around you is exactly what you think. Exactly.

Worrisome thoughts create worry and anxiety around you. Fearsome thoughts create more fear. Angry thoughts create more anger. Look around you and you’ll see this is true. Someone loses their temper – and suddenly everyone around them is a little more angry, or a little more fearful.

But the reverse is also true. Someone coming into a room with a big smile and lots of great things to say about everyone around them cheers everyone up.

Your thoughts – and the actions these spark – create the world around you.

The trick then, is to get control over your thoughts. Now, in “Go Thunk Yourself”, I cover in some detail how various scientists have shown that you can change these mental thought habits by around 30 days of practicing a specific pattern of thinking – and that you can change your attitude simply by putting a smile on your face – William James pointed this out around a century ago, and Plato way before that.

More recently, I stumbled upon the Sedona Method with its releasing techniques, and found an even simpler way to eliminate those nagging worries, fears, frustrations, etc.

You can actually and effortlessly be happy, peaceful, calm, and act with complete courageousness every single second of the rest of your life. Sure, it takes some work, but it can be done.

Which way would you rather live your life?

How can “What am I” achieve my personal freedom?

sedona method How can What am I achieve my personal freedom?

To answer this question, you have to drop using the mind. The mind is really only composed of thoughts. Thoughts are simply collected solutions to problems in the past – hoping that we might run into that problem in the future and have a ready answer to use.

But our mind can’t really answer a question. It only poses more questions and analysis and reaction about the original thought – so that thinking is just a series of thoughts strung together in loose association. Unless you think in disciplined patterns, (force your mind to think in a concentrated approach) your mind winds up with thoughts widely different from what you started out.

Extreme examples of this are called, “scatter-brained” and also “paranoid-schizophrenic”.

Concentration on a single thought is a time-honored tradition of stilling the mind. And practically, it was the only way to do so before release technique came about.

Concentrating on a particular question or situation allows the mind to still and the answer to come from the Universal. We’ve covered before about how we are all connected and our thoughts are sent out constantly – well, when you still your mind, you are able to get any answer to any situation or problem you have.

(Again, reject this completely and see if it isn’t true for yourself. For all you know, you are being scammed right now. Check it out and see for yourself.)

Napoleon Hill gave an example of Dr. Gates, who would sit in a darkened room with a pad of paper, pen, and the nearby light switch. Gates would only concentrate on what was known about the problem at hand. Once he started getting answers, he would turn on the light and start writing as fast as he could to get it all down. Gates had a huge number of patents on file and was constantly in demand as a consultant to the major corporations of the day.

Meditation is often best done with a single question in mind. Concentrating on that will often give faster results than simply sitting in silence for the same period.

Now, combining a single, concentrated attention on a particular question in alignment with continual releasing of all random thoughts, a calm mind – this allows you to go behind the mind to get the answers from the Universal. The mind doesn’t give answers, it gives back recordings of earlier solutions to similar problems. It will take credit for the answers which come – but those answers come from the Universal, not the mind.

The mind is a pile of recordings.

The Universal stores all knowledge and is a font of understanding.

And once you answer that question, “What Am I?”, then you have a grip on that Universal which will never let go.

But don’t take my word for it. Try it for yourself.

See you tomorrow…

A fine balance between what’s inside and what shows up around you

inspirational A fine balance between whats inside and what shows up around you

I’ve been struck recently to the constant problems people face in getting their view of how the world should run as they see it on the inside to what should be, in their opinion, showing up on the outside.

Manifestation, in the view from “The Secret” DVD, is really a lower “harmonic” of what we are talking about here. But the two are so closely related that they are just practically the same set of steps.

The earliest and most clear manual on this came from Christian Larson, and his bestseller “Ideal Made Real”. And my recent (continuing) studies of Levenson’s Sedona Method are simply a finer development. (As are most things I’ve found with Levenson – he simplifies concepts down to primary applications anyone can use.)

So I dug out my old copy of Larson to see what he had said back there in the 1920’s.

And there’s this fascinating tidbit which combines what we know of the Golden Rule (giving before you can get), but is also reminiscent of Wallace Wattles’ “Science of Getting Rich” (taking care with each little bit).

To give does not mean simply to give money, unless that is the best you have; but rather to give your own service, your own talents, your ability, your own true worth and your own real self. The man who lives a real life at all times and under all circumstances is giving his best and the very best possible that can be given.

A real life truly lived in the world is a power, and the person who lives such a life is a power for good wherever he may be. The presence of such a person is an inspiration and a light, as we all know. The man who loves the whole world with heart and soul, and loves without ceasing is doing far more for the race than he who endows universities, and will receive a far greater reward.

We must remember, however, that such a love is not mere sentiment. Real love is a power and will cause the person who has it to do his very best for everybody under every possible circumstance. That person whose heart is with the race will never be satisfied with inferior work. He will never shirk nor leave the problems of life to somebody else; he will go in and push wherever something good is being done, and he will constantly endeavor to render better and better service where ever his field of action may be.

And that is probably closest to what I see as the necessary balance a person has to maintain. You see the ideal intellectually inside you and work to bring this to the outside through your actions – and manifestations. Reach too high in the ideal and you risk frustration. Accept too low in the actual and your life is wasted.

However, Larson continues in this vein – as if reading my thoughts (through a time warp):

On the other hand, when we have faith in people we help them to have faith in themselves, and the more faith a person has in himself the fewer his mistakes and the better his work. When we have faith in everybody and are constantly expecting the best from everybody we create wholesome conditions in our own minds, conditions that will tend to develop the best in ourselves; that person, however, who has no faith in others will soon lose faith in himself, and when he does there will be a turn for the worse in his life.

So this tends to prove what I had discussed with a friend – as I mentioned I was in the middle of this post as a subject. He reminded me of what Huna has as a primary principle – that “There are no limits.” So as you demonstrate faith in others and expect them to have faith in you, as you give your best and expect the best from others, there is no inside and outside.

This is also known as integrity.

So when Hermes Trimestigus said something (on that mystic Emerald Tablet) down the lines of “as above, so below”, which has also been translated to mean “as within, so without” – there is not so much as an iota difference in actuality.

But where we can use this balance is in seeking to ever raise the high limits we’ve set for ourselves as a goal.  This, then, brings new realities to ourselves and to our surrounding world (which are arguably one and the same.)

Old habits die hard, I imagine.

Try this and see – and let me know what you think.

When scam skeptics need debunking – their tin foil hat is showing

Dont wear your tin foil hat to bed.

Don't wear your tin foil hat to bed.

Sorry to bring you another quasi-rant today.

I went to check out other blogs about the Quantum Jumping scam and found a doozy – over at Skepacabra. And unfortunately, this “mjr256″ (real name missing from his blog) seems to be more about tearing stuff apart rather than the pursuit of truth – or at least workable truths.

And unfortunately, his slip is showing in the post I linked to above. He’s so skeptical, I don’t know that he knows how the Scientific Method is applied – while he can claim that there is no “scientific” basis for anything that he levels in his sites, particularly Quantum Jumping.

On this blog, I’ve covered why and how it doesn’t work – and how it can easily be made into a scam.  I just disagree with this author’s approach to the subject – since he doesn’t seem to understand that the way you treat others is exactly how you are going to be treated – whether you “believe” in the Golden Rule or deny it. (If you look around for proof, then you’ll find plenty of it – if you simply deny it as a truth, you’ll also be perfectly right. But those who take advantage of it will live far more comfortable, even prosperous lives.)

Such debunkers are no experts in living or in life and so should be taken with a large grain of salt before  you base your lifestyle choice on what they write.

So, here’s the rant-du-jour:

There is a problem with your critical analysis of this – mainly that it’s one of the easiest things to believe = nothing. And criticism really just involves your world with more criticism.

Look, you probably believe in the Government and all that it’s done for you. Well, that belief won’t hold up under your own Baloney Detector Kit. The government is a scam which doesn’t work. Yet people (are forced to) believe in it.

As far as scientific studies, I love the one which said 50% of all scientific studies contradicted the other 50%. (And your baloney detection kit wasn’t applied to their own example of Global Warming, which is disproved by the correlation between sunspot data and recorded temperatures.)

With beliefs, you build your own belief system around you. People cherry pick all day long and only accept things which support their mental habits up to that point. No one is really wrong in this – it’s the way we’ve been set up. Politics is great for blind-siding people this way – by only giving them data which they can use to support their own views.

The conspiracy theorists (like your tin hat above) are constantly ragged on for this – since they are compiling data and proposing conclusions the rest of us would rather not agree with, and so, Believe.

(Like that popular FBI show about UFO’s – “I believe.”)

While you diss people who suspend disbelief, you also diss just about everyone in that category. When you go into a movie theater, if you don’t disbelieve reality for the hour or so of that money, you won’t enjoy it. All scientific method is based on having an open mind about the result – and running impartial tests with double-blind studies to show what results can be achieved.

By blinding and rigidly holding on to only a single set of beliefs, you live in a very boring and increasingly dangerous world – since only you are the one who isn’t evolving and can’t even get your car fixed when it breaks (because you can’t let go of the belief that it’s running just fine.)

Hyper-critical reviews of a subject are great for getting your blog to the top of the standings – particularly if you do it first. However, it doesn’t mean you are actually providing anyone else with any valuable information.

Belief what you will, disbelieve what you will. Doesn’t really matter in the final outcome, does it?

What you and everyone around you is looking for won’t be found by being critical of the entire world around you. These people are known as “bitter” and usually have few true friends. (Who wants to be criticized all the time?)

Treat others as you would like to be treated.

That’s a challenge – if you can suspend your beliefs long enough…

You already know the route to all the Happiness and Freedom you could ever want…

sedona method You already know the route to all the Happiness and Freedom you could ever want...

Hard to believe you already know this – it’s just going to take someone point it out for you…

This secret route has been known since the early 1950’s. It didn’t really show up in “The Secret”, although one of its proponents and teachers (Hale Dwoskin) was in that DVD/movie.

Lester Levenson discovered in in 1952, after being sent home to die by his doctor – told not to get out of bed or make any physical effort of any kind. (But the doctor didn’t tell him he couldn’t use his mind to sort out his life from the inside out.)

The breakthrough was in learning to let go of all the self-limiting thinking he was doing and just learn to live life simply. He found that all the Happiness he had ever been searching for was already in side of him – and he had been keeping it from showing up through all these habitual thoughts he had kept around during the earlier 42 years of his life.

Of course, it took something like another 16 years before he could figure out what he had done and how to teach it to others so they could learn it, too.

I’m still studying Levenson and his Sedona Method, although the tapes seem hard to find these days. Hale Dwoskin and Larry Crane, among others, have picked up this banner. Of course, they are bringing it to people in the way they want, which is to solve the material needs first.

And that’s where people consider that Sedona Method is a scam, because it doesn’t immediately give them everything they want. Hale Dwoskin covers this in several recordings – that by working on your Health, you might get Success or Prosperity showing up – or some other feature of your health being improved.

But I’m getting way beyond the scope of this little post. If you’re interested, you’re going to have to do some more homework on your own. (See links above, or other posts on this site.)

In studying more of Levenson, what he revealed as the cause of his near-death experience was his own attitude toward the world. And by sitting quietly and using his own mind, he was able to reverse these effects in just a few months – and also climb into states of high bliss which few humankind have ever experienced, even briefly.

And along the way, he found the underlying explanations and techniques that enable a person to get anything and everything they want from this world. Anything and everything.

Doesn’t mean it comes to you instantly, although it can. It’s going to take some work on your part. It all depends on how much you are completely willing to give up everything first. And of course, that seems contradictory. But I’m not going to try to explain why it works that way.

Here’s a video where Levenson, in his classic New York accent and approach, lays it out for a small class of students in Arizona:

Lester Levenson Fireside Chat 1

Why I bring this to you is simple – I care about your future and that of the world around you.

I’ve been covering the Golden Rule here for a long time – many, many posts. The short hand version is thsi: You have to give before you can get.

Now some have this down to just, only, and exactly how much money do they have to pay to get a CD set that will help them get the pay raise or new car or cash bonus they want to show up in their lives. And some are simply working at visualizing every day to get things to show up.

And while these will work, most don’t find they can get them to work just by reading a book or listening to a tape or DVD. (Although “The Secret” is a good introduction to this approach.)

As the intro to that above recording goes – you have to listen with your heart. Put your thinking aside.

Because all your thinking has gotten you into any particular situation you are in right now – any lack you are experienceing.

What the Sedona Method does is to calm the mind so that your native Self can show up and start working.

And there is a built-in trap mechanism that will ultimately give you a huge loss, a catastrophy if you don’t really give it all up. That’s what Levenson said in the video above. Because, yes, you can get every single thing you ever wanted in this world – and they will all show up for you. But if you don’t move beyond that bliss point where you have the entire universe at your feet, then it will all come crashing down around you.

You have to be able to give it all up.

Because that is the way we’ve set this Universe up to operate. Like death, as Patrick Swayze would quote from one of his movies – you only take the love you hold within you. All these material things around you aren’t worth a tinker’s damn in the final reckoning.

And as you get this idea into your life right now, you can have an incredible life of unlimited Happiness, Joy, and everything you need to accomplish your basic purpose, your passion, your unending bliss on this planet.

It’s been there, really all the time, just waiting for you. As Jesus said, you already have Heaven within you.

But the way to find it isn’t within any particular religion or spiritual philosophy, but is in all of them.Check their basic books and you’ll see this to be true.

The trick is in how much you want to find it.
